OUR STORY
Everyday Hacks began in 2016 when three friends - Sarah, Michael, and Olivia - found themselves frequently sharing household tips over weekend barbecues in Melbourne. All recent immigrants to Australia, they discovered that many traditional household solutions from their home countries needed adaptation for Australian conditions, homes, and available products.
What started as a casual Facebook group quickly grew into a community of over 5,000 members in just six months. Members shared their ingenious solutions for common Australian household challenges - from dealing with unique pests to managing water conservation during drought restrictions.
By 2018, Everyday Hacks had launched its first in-person workshop in Fitzroy, teaching practical skills for home maintenance and improvement. The overwhelming response prompted us to establish our permanent location on Smith Street, where we now host regular workshops, create content, and test household solutions specifically designed for Australian conditions.
Today, Everyday Hacks serves over 50,000 community members across Australia, with a team of dedicated experts who research, test, and share the most effective household hacks for Australian homes. Our focus remains on practical, affordable, and environmentally conscious solutions that make everyday life easier for Australians.
